As the only optometry practice in New York specializing in lesser-known vision conditions such as binocular vision dysfunction and vertical heterophoria, it’s no surprise that the Neuro Visual Center of New York has been very busy over the past few years. For this reason, we’ve expanded our team and are proud to announce the addition of Dr. Marissa Zimmerman to the Neuro Visual Center staff!
Our Newest Team Member
Dr. Zimmerman graduated from Muhlenberg College with a BS in Chemistry. She continued on to SUNY State College of Optometry, graduating Beta Sigma Kappa in 2013. Dr. Zimmerman loves working with children. Before joining the Neuro Visual Center of New York, she practiced primary care, specializing in children three years old and up. Dr. Zimmerman is an active wife and mother of two boys, and enjoys hiking, exercising and spending time with her family.
A Legacy of Hope
After training with Dr. Debby Feinberg of Vision Specialists of Michigan, Dr. Cheryl Berger Israeloff was honored to have her own chance to be a teacher. Two years ago, she began working with Dr. Zimmerman, training her in the diagnosis and treatment of headaches and dizziness caused by eye misalignments.
“Working with Dr. Israeloff has been an amazing experience,” says Dr. Zimmerman. “It’s very apparent that she truly cares for each and every patient she works with, and she loves being able to bring hope back to patients who have been suffering from debilitating dizziness and other symptoms. I strive to change the lives of my patients just as Dr. Israeloff does, and hope to one day be able to pass on the knowledge she has shared with me.”
